Genworth (6)
Baker Renewable Energy has worked closely with Dominion Realty Partners-a highly acclaimed development, leasing and management company- to install a solar system on their new Genworth building in North Raleigh! The building serves as corporate headquarters for their mortgage and insurance company- a division of Genworth Financial. This 20kW Photovoltaic Thin Film system houses over 4,000 square feet of the structure’s roof space, and is, as of November, actively reducing Genworth’s carbon footprint! Please take a moment to view the photos from this project to see an excellent example of green energy production. -

The Mitchell Building (6)
The Mitchell Building in Fuquay-Varina was one of Baker Renewable Energy’s flagstone projects. The Mitchell, now a historical landmark, was originally forged in the 1940s and operated as a Chevrolet dealership. It is now a flex lease space for tenants and a perfect place to work and play in downtown Fuquay-Varina. We at Baker Renewable Energy were extremely proud to work on this landmark edifice, and to bring the newest elements of solar technology together with this building’s lasting elements of history. Baker installed a 10kW solar Photovoltaic Thin Film system on the roof of the Mitchell, and our team eagerly participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony on October 28, 2009. The building’s current owners, Eric and Mary Christofferson, along with the mayor of Fuquay, Mr. John W. Byrne, “flipped the switch” and the solar panels began their journey of power generation! Thanks to everyone for their hard work and dedication to this amazing project! -
